1. It was called 'Paradise of the Earth' by the famous Mughal Emperor Jahangir.

3. Kashmir valley has 2 different capitals depending upon the distinct seasons! it's capital for summer is 'Srinagar' and for winter is  'Jammu'

4. The literacy rate of Kashmir is higher than both of it's neighboring countries, India and Pakistan, despite the fact that it's significant parts are occupied by both!














5. The valley of Kashmir has a very fertile soil and expensive yet exportable crops can be easily cultivated here that include Walnuts and Saffron.

After the war of 1971, the Pakistani President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had signed a treaty with the Indian Prime Minister 'Indra Gandhi' , in which he agreed not to take matters of Kashmir to UN(United Nation) and in return demanded India to free the 90,000 Pakistani war captives (soldiers), however, the treaty soon broke as the tensions between the 2 nations increased.




















9. The orders of Supreme Court aren't looked upon in the state for guidance over political matters!

10. Many tourists have declared it to be the jewel of South East Asia due to it's mesmerizing beauty and tremendous topography!
