The unexplored beauty of the Astola Island

Pakistan has always been known for its northern peaks and green valleys but very few in the world have discovered the coastal beauty of Pakistan. Located in the province of Baluchistan this eye-catching coastal line remained unexplored by the locals until a British tourist ' Tracy Curtin'  expressed her views on it's hypnotizing beauty. This Island is also commonly known as the 'Island of seven hills' because of the rocky hills surrounding it. It is located near the port Pasni. The crystal clear water is just too alluring not to jump in specially when it is surrounded by shale rocks. The island remains isolated due to it's distant location however the recent researches and visits to the island unveil many new facts about it. 1. Soft Shelled Sea Turtle This weird looking sea  turtle is one of the most rarest sea turtles found around the world! They may be referred to as Trionychidae or pancake turtles due to their unique looking shell. 2. 1. Bab-e-Pakistan/ Lahore Situated in Lahore this monument was created in the early years of the creation of Pakistan under ZiaulHaq however it was never completed due to political clashes. This monument further marks the migration and sacrifices of several India families to the newly born state 'PAKISTAN' in 1947. 2. 1. Tomb of Jahangir/ Lahore    This beautiful tomb was built for the mughal ruler Jahangir who ruled between 1605-1627. The tomb was constructed at Shahdara Lahore which was among the favorite spots of the Mughal Ruler. The building was funded by Imperial treasury. Structure  The entrance is lead by two massive gates made up of stones, which in turn lead to an enclosure.The enclosure gives a full view of the garden. The  corridor around the mausoleum is adorned with a very elegant mosaic, representing flowers and verses from the Quran. The mausoleum is a building with one floor. The ground floor has a square shape. Its structure consists of a platform with a tall, octagonal tower and a projecting entrance in the middle of each side.          MAJESTIC LAKES IN PAKISTAN'S NORTHERN WING  1. Lulusar Lake/ Naran/ KPK This beautiful lake in Khagan valley of KPK will catch all your attention ! The Lulusar lake is fed from the glaciers which flow from the tall mountain ranges (Karakoram ranges). It flows southwest through the entire length of Kaghan Valley passing Jalkhand,  Naran ,  Kaghan , Jared, Paras and  Balako t  until its  confluence   with the  Jhelum River . Lulusar Lake marks the historic place where fifty-five participants of the  1857 Indian war of independence  were arrested. 2. Lake Saiful Muluk/Kaghan/KPK This alluring lake will hypnotize you in its beauty!   Saiful Muluk  is a mountainous lake located at the northern end of the  Kaghan Valley , near the town of  Naran .  It is in the north east of Manshera  district   in the KPK  province, Pakisan  and feeds water to Kunhar  river .
