All about the mega/grand CEPEC!
CPEC is a project (under construction) and it’s major aim is to boost the economy of both the neighboring countries, Pakistan and China. The corridor is more than 3000 Km connecting China’s province Xinjiang to rest of the world through Gawadar. The corridor consists of many modes of transports including pipelines for the transport of power resources. Why choose Gawadar? Gawadar enjoys a strategic and a key position on the world map and in the subcontinent as it has the world’s largest deep sea/ warm water port that is useable all around the year. It is not surprising that countries in the subcontinent would have their eyes on Gawadar thus, China opted to promote the port, making use of it’s long term friendship with Pakistan after it’s terms deteriorated with India!
